We are getting more and more members here who are new to MMA, many wont know who Fedor is .. and most of us are Fedor fans aswell .. so , here are D/L links to all of his fights

Born in the USSR , now Ukraine
Has 2 brothers, Aleks who is a known MMA fighter, and another one making his mma debut soon called Ivan
Spent time in the 90s in the Russian Army
Has 2 kids
Carried Olympic Torch in 2008 as it went through Russia

He has been called the number one Pound for pound fighter in the world, but recently has been over taken by Anderson Silva

He fights for the money and views MMA as a job, he doesnt have a love for the sport

First fight team was Russian Top Team, left as he fet they tried to control him, now part of the Red Devil fight team

Fedor owns a part of MMA company M1 global who represent him. M1 have struck up a deal which will see more of their fighters join Strikforce, as long as they can co-promote the events.

There is a debate over why Fedor didnt join the UFC , M1 said it was because the money wasnt good enough for Fedor and they wanted to co-promote the event. The UFC offered Fedor a 3 fight deal which could rise to 5 fights, he would make at least 2 million dollars off the 3 if he won them all , or if he fought 5 times, they said he could advertise m1 on his shorts, shirts, banner, could compete in sambo tournaments .. Dana White said it was the best deal ever given out

Either it's ironic M1 is controlling him despite him falling out with RTT as he felt he was being controlled .. or since he owns part of M1, and he doesnt love fighting, he wants to increase the M1 profile ..

Either way, the UFC is the best place to be for an MMA fighter .. and the only real legitimate opponent Fedor might lose against is Brock "The Animal" Lesnar
