Thread: Ken Flo / BJ war of words continues

Kenny Florian wants BJ Penn to get his story straight regarding the claim that Florian tipped him off about Georges St. Pierre using Vaseline to grease his torso during fights.

Penn alleged last week that Florian had sent him an email before the fight warning him to watch out for the trick, then responded to Florian’s request to see the email by saying the tip-off had actually been texted to a friend.

"Yeah it went from an email, to a text to a friend of the camp. I think next it will be a fax, and then it'll probably be a bird that delivered a telegram to him from a roommate's brother's dog's owner's sister,” Florian laughed.

"It's kind of ridiculous. BJ is known as a trash talker and he plays a lot of mind games. He does a lot of psychological warfare.”

But he warned Penn - who he expects to face “in the summer” - that he is used to mind games and the tactic will not work on him.

“People have tried that on me in the past, but what they don't know is that they're playing checkers and I'm playing chess," he said.

And despite the growing war of words, he said he is more than happy to do his talking in the ring, remarking dryly: “I think BJ and I will fight. He mentioned recently he wants to, and that's good.”

The thing's that are amusing me about all this "Greasegate scandal" are ;

1. Would B.J still be a crying cabbage patch kid if he'd won?
2. His legs didn't get anywhere near high enough to be effective,shoulder blades are slightly rounded when clenched so obviously you'll slip a little when your opponent is sweaty.
3. For a "prodigy" he seems to be willing to destroy his reputation by publishing ridiculous videos on his site, I was going to link it but if anyone fancies a laugh it's on his fansite.

He is acting like a right little bitch!

I don't usually mind BJ, I find his pre-match hyping quite enjoyable. That said, when you get absolutely destroyed in the Octagon by the better guy. Man up! Take it on the chin and humble your podgy little arse!
