    Need advise

I am 22 and thinking of joining and training mma but i was worried that ive had no fighting training, i do weight lifting and are stronger than most my age and height but obv that means nothing when it comes to fighting. Would there be classes to suite me i dont want to feel like a spare part when are in a group of others training who are more experienced.

    Thank You

Marcus 4-5 years ago I felt the exact same, only problem was, MMA wasnt that big here so I struggled to find a gym.
If you wish to start MMA, from personal experience, I think you should try muay thai or bjj for a few months so you're not a complete newbie when you mix it all up.

Beginner classes are great, you dont get many idiots at gyms, everyeone is willing to help one another as we all have different strengths and weaknesses. You'll make a lot of friends aswell. i was about 5 years younger than most people, was the youngest at the gym and when I joined, everyone was great

If you're a fan of weight lifting, use that with your cardio, something like getting sandbags, tractor tyres are great for strength and conditioning.

    Where is halesowen ?

Halesowen is near Brum. I don't know much about the gyms in the area. UTC is about a 30 mins drive from there.

defo do muay thai or bjj befor you go to mma. so then when you start, you are familiar with one area or more of mma. always best to have a strength or exp first in one discipline. that's what i'm doing.
Those muay thai low kicks f***ing hurt! ;-)

stevie bs i think its called, there is d-tec but utcuk is the best one in brum

However, if you decide to start with bjj first, then you have to holla at the estima bros.

II dont think 30 minutes is bad for a good quality gym , which is very modern, and full of nice folk

:baffled:Have you tried punching yourself in the face to get used to it first?
