world cup stadiums
Sunderland
Wembley
Brum: Villa park
Manchester City of manchester
Nottingham: New stadium
London Emirates
Leeds
Sheffield: Hillsborough
Newcastle Gateshead: St James Park
Bristol: New Ashton Vale
London: New Spurs or Olympics stadium
Plymouth
Manchester Old Trafford
Liverpool: Anfield or New Anfield
Milton Keynes
I agree with most but
PLYMOUTH .. WTF
MILTON KEYNES WTF
Sheffield ground is so shit
derby county, the 11th best supported team in the country, with an average of 30,000 people, in the worst premier leagure season ever, we got a crowd of 33k every game .. in the second league, we're not even in the top half and still got an awesome crowd .. i guess the fa don't think much of fans hey

I presume they chosen Nottinghams new ground and Elland Road/Hillsborough over Derby for the obvious reasons... its a new stadium, haven't seen the plans but its new... and elland/hillsborough are iconic football stadiums in this country's history.
Pride Park is it? forgot its name, went there once, just felt like another "ikea" made flatpack footy stadium if im honest.... Baseball ground - now that was an experience as a kid, i went there twice and still remember it. lovely ground.
Derby don't get 33k a week at all Jeevan, the stadiums capacity is 33k.
As for Milton Keynes and so on... area distribution in my eyes, across the country. Angola Vs. Ivory Coast (someone has to play there)

Ste .. I said we got 33k a week for our premier league season .. you know where our team finished with record low points .. in the championship, we're in the bottom half, yet our average is still 29-30k a week, 11th best in the country .. when in the premier league, despite our worst season ever, the board were planning on increasing crowd capacity to 40k because there was that much demand .. ps. for the big games last season in the championship, we were sold out at 33k !!! Even when on TV, you will here the commentators tlak about the great support because for live tv matches, the two we have been on so far at pride park, have had 28k attendances
They chose nottinghams new ground, which the council have refused to give permission to build !! they struggle to sell out their current ground, what are they gonna do with a new ground thats 50 percent bigger !! They doubted about liverpool because they didnt have planning permission for everton
The baseball ground was incredible, in our first house, you could look outside the window and see the game itself .. that was awesome, a free season ticket .. but it got run down .. I know what you mean about the ikea thing, but a few of the grounds selected are worst !! but the fact is, we always sing and chant, the facilities are actually good, and I guaruntee that a big team will pick our training ground as its camp, the fa called it one of the best they have ever seen .. and I've been there a lot, it's on par with Man Utd. carrington training ground , i saw a lot of training grounds and grounds as friends of mine moved up from youth level to pro level football
Hillsborough, oh my lord, that's like a jail cell, all the cement shit, and have you seen the food stalls, they have actual cages around them !! when i've been, i've been waiting to see two guys fight in their or something !! it's an iconic stadium for sure, but it's not modern
Milton Keynes .. arghhh, if you think pride park is ikea, mk dons stadium is like a cheaper ikea !! Notts are planning the same, but they cant get the land to do it ..
both bristol and plymouth ? .. really, i dont get why both of them
I thought the FA cared about fans and support, it pisses me off, derby is fast improving, seen by the fact that the government is locating a few departments here in the next decade, some great countryside sightings, big open lands for fan parks, good hotels and transport close to being finished .. most importantly .. this city loves football
I'd be happy to watch Angola v Ivory Coast .. Manucho v Drogba !! We love and breathe football at derby !!
i love villa park, been to 2 matches so far this season, as its only like 200metres away, can see it if i walk outside my accomodation for 20 metres
i agree with most like i said

Can become an Uefa 5 star stadium :good
An hour from London :good
Good infrastructure in the city :good
Loads of car parking spaces :good
For your information Anfield has a capacity of 45,000 and is a Uefa 4 star stadium without the capability to become a 5 star stadium so
LIVERPOOL WTF !!
Rant over it should of been a joint england/ scotland bid Ibrox, Hampden, Wembly, Emirates, Old Trafford, St James park are all uefa 5 stars.
Let others come after us . . . We welcome the chase.

The thing is .. MK Dons is lifeless, they are already having 3 stadiums in london
one of the guys who decided the bid stadiums said that they went with the least risk choices ..
So they chose stadiums that need to be built, and if you look at plymouth, they average about 15k at most form what i remember, how is it good for them in the long term to have a 33k seat stadium .. the guy said they wanted to get all the people from surrounding areas involved, which basically ignores the footballing history and love of the host cities
mk dons average around 10k
I think the FA WANT to be responsible for the re generation of certain areas ..
Also,, one of the deciders was from the midlands, didnt say where, but he said on talksport that nottingham has a tram, derby doesnt . made that out to be a big deal .. what he doesnt know is you can walk pretty much everywhere in derby in not long
is milton keynes a city ?
WTF, ARE you on about regarding liverpool ? .. evenpeople involved with liverpool bid said they were worried after the new stadiums havent got planning permission yet ..

lol come on I can see your case for Derby jeevan - just who's to say hillsborough will look like that in the WC?
Argyle are a prosperous team more recently, i mean they aint exactly in league two anymore you know, this somewhat merits a ground choice.
MK - as said its a "new" area if you will, and fulfills demand in a specific area for games... i mean man utd fans have to watch WC games too you kno, and they all live in MK.
As for COMS - well it was purposely built for the commonwealth games, manny council still own part of the stadium and Sheik plans on upgrading it from 47k to 60k... add to this the new tram lines being extended right outside the stadium.
Scottish/Welsh stadiums shouldn't be included, having a joint world cup would have to auto qualify Wales and Scotland aswell.... Would be great having all home nations in the tournament but unfair on other nations.
-
i can understand, but they rarely come close to full capacity at their stadium .. I understand what you're saying, but if they wanted it to be a true footballing thing, then it shoulda been derby .. we could easily fill 40k seats
Plymouth are gonna struggle after that, i cant see them being anymore than a relegation team, and if they lose mackie, which is looking likely, i think they will be a league 2 team
