    Wasting Police Time?

Recently there has been a big inccrease in dog pooh on our street, since the ice-age began.
Now there is a couple near us who have shown that they have issue with our dog (he's a staffordshire bull terrier)
the usual pulling their faces but nothing to whine about, on one occasion putting the V's up at me, my response was to just laugh and walk back to my house.

The sad people have issues, and reported us to the police for not having the dog on the lead (which isn't an offense) and for dog excrement on the street.

Now for you to understand: on a street which has around 15 houses there are six dogs on this street alone, thats excluding the many dogs that get walked on our street from owners who live locally.

The police came directly to our house, not anyone else, and asked to speak with me about dog excrement on the street.
Fine i said and they came in, but after i shown them the many poop-scoops in the house and informed them we pick up our dogs pooh they switched the subject and asked if our dog was left off a lead... I replied Yes as well he is off a lead when i nip to the car or something.

the copper informs me to keep him on a lead, this can cause accidents and so on. the street is very narrow and traffic doesn't move on the street, its like a cul-de-sac.

About 10 seconds after they leave my house the couple who complain "coincidently" drive past my house and park up, guess where the cops where parked? outside their house.... i smelt something here (and it wasn't pooh) so i walked down the street and knocked on their door, the police got out their car all aggressive and holding the batons, over reactive or what?

I inform the police i wish to have a private discussion with my neighbour and the police being all confrontive adds toa bad atmosphere.

Anyway to cut a long story short, its a complete waste of police resources, it came out that the female copper was infact a relative of this guys wife..... the female officer slipped up about this.
everytime we would make a comment it went straight over their heads.

I agreed to put my dog on a lead, like we do anyway, but sometimes he will be off a lead like normal and if they phone the police again i will be informing the police about charging them for wasting police time.

The police officers attitudes stank, completely bias and victimised us, never did they speak to any other dog owners locally (even after we had informed them about certain dog owners not picking up their dog crap)

I hate the police with a passion seriously, they just love to fuck with you.

its not the law to have your dog on the lead in the street, it must have either a lead or a collar. id of told them to ram it and to charge you if they think they have something on you.

what was their specific grievence with your dog? Im assuming they have one too?

I wouldnt be able to last a day leaving my shit on the road, my 2 do double baggers on a daily basis. (proud) :thumb

lol, apparently their dog yes they have one) was severely attacked by another dog several years back... i ask: oh, ws this dog a staffie?

She replies: no it wasa lurcher.

So i ask: so whats the beef with my dog then, why the fear? hes soft as "shit"

But your right, next time they come as the pooh aint gonna stop as it aint our dog, next time they come i'll ask them to politely go speak with every dog owner around the way then come back to me.

The thing that pisses me off the most? this petty shit goes on, i mean the police for dog pooh? just wait in your house wait for someone to let their dog crap then go speak to 'em.

About 200yards or something from our house is a council estate, every fucking day without fail guys will drive on the estate in nice cars, pick up smackheads, deal the drugs in the car, then drop them off outside their house again... oh and underage schoolkids will queue outside the shops asking for alcohol and cigarettes... they the police ain't got time for that shit?

They got time for dog shit

Staffies have a rep. And right so too in my eye. The majority of staffies are owned by cunts, the dogs are under socialised and they end up aggressive. A well looked after staffie isnt a danger, unfortunately well trained staffies are a minority. I can understand her concern, but as a dog owner she should of worked out that yours isnt aggressive, the exception rather than the rule. Its a shame too because before they became popular, 9/10 of staffies were tame and lovely.

As for the police... I just think they are misunderstood.

talking about dog poo .. Ive actually taken a picture of someones dog taking a poo, and then followed them and written their address ..
I have a park outside my house where I used to train, and kids play footbal all over it, I have threatened people to pick up their poo otherwise they will be face down with their dogs poo .. they usually pick up the poop

When I joint the police, I hope to use my common sense .. Ste you should go to your local station and report how you were treated .. because it seems very unfair, and the police are meant to do a good job and show respect

I know that police members are not meant to get involved in any personal issues as they would be bias, and they are meant to let another officer take charge or call in others to deal with it, so that was bad policing .. I would definitley complain about it , because it's a form of bullying using someone in power to pick on you

You are right Jeevan we should of gone to the local station and reported it but i just don't want the hassle you know, got more important things to worry about.

today at heaton park the dog pooh'd 3 times, each big crap picked up.. tonight took him out, again picked up.

I hate dog pooh, but i'm still seeing fresh crap even today on our street.
Our dog ran from the car to our house today, They seen our dog off the lead, but you know what? they are welcome to log it, and phone the police... i dont care, when the police come i aint bothering answering the door now (that aint a crime is it)

I hope Jeevan you do become a cop because you seem like a sound guy however - dont let that uniform change your personality

You dont have to open the door, but they could be dickheads and go for a warrant mate

I really would complain .. because even if you're over it, you know it will continue to happen to other people ..

I would complain of bullying mate ..

    and Thanks Ste

Well ill give you my 2 pence when I've learnt about it and when im a bit more sober lol just doing police powers now as part of my law course at uni. But more to the point your neighbour sound like a pair of right erm... pregnant fishes? lol and so far as dog crap you would have to look up the by-laws in your area, but yeah definitely report them, nothing worse than the police abusing their power.

abuse of powers and conflict of interest come to mind.

Although yet another waste of police time (as at this moment in time it is your neighbours being annoying and getting relatives to dish out the shit) report the police officers and your neighbour via police complaints commission...mention biased views, aggressive over reaction and the fact the did not investigate another (5 addresses with dog's?).

Ths will 1)stop the neighbour running to her relative everytime she feels she wants to get your back up 2)teach the officer a lesson 3)teavh your neighbour a lesson.

From my experience with these things - I used to deal with ASBO's and disputes for Riverside Housing the problem is not your dog, it's your neighbours opinion/dislike of you - imho she is using the dog issue to get your back up and get you in trouble (Just a gut feel) :thumb. ...

I once had to deal with a woman who wanted us to use an ASBO on a neighbours cat as it kept going in her garden and fighting with her cat!!!! - she wanted us or the neighbour to control the cat from going in the garden (all suggestions how the hell that would work would make interesting/funny reading)...turned out in the end she wanted the house for a relative and was just trying to get the neighbour booted out - this is one example of 100's of cases we had to deal with.
