Good advice guys. Doesn't sound as though i would upset anyone if i bought some reasonable kit. Just gotta learn what to do in it now......And there lies the fun. Nate

    lol bullet proof vest!
I bought a pair of TUF 9 UK boards shorts years ago and they have seen some hardcore training sessions and mad dashs to the supermarket to buy a lukozade after a night out with training just around the corner, made me proud! still wear them aswell id recommend them. If you cant really afford decent shorts then id suggest finding some sales because there is no substitute for Quality with MMA shorts - Or Check Trojan Fight Wear out in July 2010 Im sure we could find you somethin to your taste.

So wear whatever you feel comfortable in, just bulletproof vests and superman costumes are a little unfair on your training partners

My Sprawl shorts i've had for a good few years now, they are showing signs of falling apart on the velcro strap area but overall they still look and feel new. other shorts like the Triumph united ones i threw in the bin after 3months as they were wrecked.
So yea a decent pair of shorts are worth the money - countless hours rolling in these and they are still wearable...

Oh and good advice from GOW MMA as branded tee's can be expensive and are more fashion conscious rather than fight conscious so any form of grappling and they get ripped to shreds. leave the mma shirts for impressing the girls and scaring the boys (unless your Jeevan)

Thanks for the offer Trojan. I see your website is not up and running yet, but I look forward to seeing your stock. I have found a company called TUFF Fight Wear with reasonable priced shorts for now think i might give them a go initially. Nate

My Fight Gear. Still in discussion. I'm all about Quality and you dont get quality for cheap. but im thinking of having a wide range of gear so everyone can find some thing. ive got 7 sets of shorts, tees, and gloves at the minute,

Looking at maybe £34.99 for the less challenged designs - £49.99 for the full blown sick! took me18 hours alone (got lonely in the office i tell ya) on a computer designing shorts! The more mentally ill fighters and fans will buy these shorts! bit graphic...lol
Im also making Bespoke Shorts so you can send me an idea for a design and we will make them to your specification. worlds your oyster got an amazing design team here at Trojan.
watch this space. Samples arriving this weekend.

To sound utterly redundant as the point has laready been made, wear what you want, if you waqnt new spngly gear and can afford it then go for it, good quality training gear will last better in the long run. But yeah, 99% of MMA clothing is just that, clothing, not desigend for training in.

Apart from the triple stitched taslan shorts for high kicks and flexibility and rash guards.
