Hey guys, something was mentioned a couple of threads ago regarding peaking for a fight.
Do any of you have some solid articles/docs/sites to read please?
Thanks.

Damn, kinda a hard subject, and you wont get many ppl sharing that much info online without paying for it. I used to just build up intensity to 2-3weeks before a fight and the last week is all technique, speed and a good few days slow technique for the fight day.(thats if I knew of a fight, most were taken on short notice and being in fight shape)
But with all the strength and conditioning that goes in with mma, its power, strength, circuits and specific training leading up to the fight. Not sure the timing specific, but you'd defo have to do major tweeking for your own body/ability and stage in your fighting career.
Some food for thought:

in truth their is a million and one answers and everyone has their own way and you have to tweek stuff for each individual and it's an essay to write - in short this could start off from about 3 months in advance - ending a weight/strength training cycle at 6 weeks out and getting very specific with strength endurance and starting to really tweak diet (pending on starting weight and individual traits)...really it could go on forever....an they theirs cutting weight/hydration/sodium intake etc etc (insert migraine here).
Awesome, thanks for that dude, I like the 2nd link with approx times scales of what to do.
Something really similar to it.
Si-K, thats fair dude but was after for performance, when one should start/stop intense anaerobic training, when one should increase/decrease aerobic training, when to taper up/down, etc.
