    what a training session

Ok, so after telling you all about lads coming from around the country to train with brig in luta livre at the seminar on sunday I have even bigger news!

I was going to go to judo tonight but the kids went to bed late so I went to Luta instead. As I walk through the door at kaobon I can see that some of the fighters are there Terry Etim, Jay Manning, Uche ihiekwe etc, which doesn't always happen on the night sessions as they train in the morning. I'm thinking great there will be some good rolling tonight. I walk farther through to the desk to pay and double take at a lad in a hoody by the door - I know him but he doesn't usually come here, then I hear his brum accent and plain as day it's andre winner stood waiting for brigs class with Nick Osipczak and some other lads that have come up to train. I couldn't believe it. It was great to see them roll and I was inching towards them to roll but missed out as terry ended up showing nick something in the last rolling session! I ended up rolling with one of their team mates, which was a mistake as he was purple bjj and after a good roll slipped a little armbar on me! Was great to see all of the fighters roll with brig too and what sound lads they are, no bravado and talking to eveyone like they've trained here for ages. What a night - I'm still buzzing! Oh and Jay Manning looks really good on the ground so I pity his opponent on Saturday.

The lads from the mids were really appreciative of brig and I know they were buzzing after too!

ok so after last night I figured I would be cheeky and pop down to kaobon and watch the guys train a little. They were doing a thai session with colin - the first one since he returned from the states. I can't tell you how hard these guys work - I know you get glimpses on tuf but to see it in real time is unreal! Winner has such fast hands but all the guys looked good. I got the feeling that they all raised the bar a bit. Not sure how long these guys are staying up here but I hope they're at luta the next time I go.
