    Knee :(

    My first amatuer Kickboxing fight not this Sunday but next, and what happens? I was playing football last week, went in for a sliding tackle and don't remember what exactly happened but went off with my knee in agony. Been a whole 7 days since then and it still hurts like a bitch every step I take! Not trained since apart from bit of upper body weights. ARGHHHHH!!! Still ganna do the fight, just wanted to moan really!!!

    Call them up let them know, wait a few days and update etc. etc.

    Generally speaking I wouldn't fight on an injury like that because;

    1) Massive disadvantage.

    2) Could make it far worse.

    :whs fookin football - everytime someone gets injured outside the gym it's always football with the odd motorbike accident thrown in to mix things up.

    R.I.C.E - rest, ice, compression, elevate - probably a boat load of Ibuprophen and also deep heat might help as well.

    If its your knee as in the the joint or area around it, Id call it off.

    If its a muscular pain, co codamol and ibuprofen, lots of it :laugh:

    I fought my first fight with a dodgy thigh but afte consuming the above for 2 days, it went and was fine.

    Yeah I've been icing it up and deep heating the shit out of it. Today was the first day that I have noticed any improvement at all can almost walk normally, but still quite a bit of pain.
    Goin to see a physio tomorow hopefully he gives me good news!!!

    I'd get it checked, you can make a knee injury a lot worse if you have done some serious damage and don't get it properly checked.

    After the Physio on Saturday, in which he told me I twisted and bruised my ACL, he massaged all the gunk away from the knee and it's got much better been training harder this week with no adverse affects so f*cking bring on Sundayyy!!!!

    It's great to see such a nice bunch of lads on here, as I've met my fair share of complete twats in the mma world!!!

    Glad to here your on the mend mate - all the best for Sunday.

    I think You Tube posts are worst for abuse - some of the kids can't even string a sentence together and are threatening to bum your mother and set you on fire, an that's just after watching an interview with a UFC fighter!!!!, kids.
