    Ankle injury. Advice needed.

    Busted my ankle in training today. Got my toe stuck in the mats whilst transitioning which resulted in a very loud and audible 'pop' coming from my right ankle.

    I didnt have any pain but my leg is weak all the way upto the knee and I cant post all my weight on it. I can walk somewhat gingerly so I'm assuming that nothing is actually broken or snapped but having calmed down I now have what I can probably best describe as cramping pain in the back of my ankle aqround the achilles and a bit of pain when I rotate or flex the ankle.

    Any ideas? Is this likely to just be a sprain or strain? Recommended rest period or treatment/maintenance ideas would be appreciated. I'm going to keep an eye on it over the next couple of days and if it gets worse I'll probably go get it checked out.

    Had something similar, but it was my big toe and associated bones hurt, went to the hospital, and was told that I hadnt broken anything and to take a few days off. If it hurts or swells, just to ice it after a hard training session.

    No swelling or bruising so I'm hoping its not too serious. I'm most concerned because the 'pop' was so loud that everyone just kinda froze thinking I'd broken my ankle or something.

    i had something similar happen to me... well its not really similar but i got put in and ankle lock and i tried rolling out of it but i went wrong direction and i heard a massive pop well everyone heard the pop.. as soon as my sparring partner heard he let go.... i walked it off and got back on with my trainig.. the day after i was in absolute agony so i just piled up on the painkillers put my foot in one of the elastic things and took a week off work... its still abit sore if i decide to got for a run but it bareable...
