Busted my ankle in training today. Got my toe stuck in the mats whilst transitioning which resulted in a very loud and audible 'pop' coming from my right ankle.
I didnt have any pain but my leg is weak all the way upto the knee and I cant post all my weight on it. I can walk somewhat gingerly so I'm assuming that nothing is actually broken or snapped but having calmed down I now have what I can probably best describe as cramping pain in the back of my ankle aqround the achilles and a bit of pain when I rotate or flex the ankle.
Any ideas? Is this likely to just be a sprain or strain? Recommended rest period or treatment/maintenance ideas would be appreciated. I'm going to keep an eye on it over the next couple of days and if it gets worse I'll probably go get it checked out.
