    :welcome

Depends on your goals and reason for training imo...

Taekwondo has very little carry over to street defense and anything that isn't Taekwondo based (i.e you will not see much of it carried out to sucess in a cage)...and I'm guessing you have some standup re your JKD ...However, most JJ is not good for street defense (as you don't want to be on your back with a bunch of thugs jumping on you) but you need it for MMA competition (if not you'll be lucky to survive a minute) if it's for fun - go with whatever you think you'll enjoy :thumb

cool thanks, i have my JKD for defence, just wanted to go more with fancy kicking, im not thinking of stepping in to a cage as im no were near good enough and to unfit, i would prob last bout 3 mins and be knackered lol but enjoy watching UFC. I think i will try TKD for fun see how i get on if i dont like i will concentrate more on JKD.

A final thought from my observation TKD is for young rubber people and is (as you put it) "fancy kick" based - so tends to be the young kids doing it with decent fitness levels - for thai and karate personally I do not need to be anywhere near as flexible as the hip turnover is different from TKD kicking - which relies on good groin and hamstring flexibility.
