Hi all, my name is Tom, I'm from south wales, and as yet have no mma experience. Many years ago I did abit of karate for a few years, but then beer and women came along!
Over the last few years I've suffered a number of injuries, unfortunately just when I was gettin into a good state of fitness, which has pushed back any fitness, and my goal of actually becoming fit!
Odd I know, but my main aim is to get fit, and I will be looking to use mma training as a lifeline to fitness.
I've suffered numerous broken bones, through mountain biking and football, I was also laid up with apendicitus ( infection of the appendix) and also tore the ligaments in my shoulder, which meant I had only one partially connected ligament between my shoulder and arm. My actual arm now sits an inch lower on my right side due to this. It was not a nice time, and I believe I suffer from a fear of doing more damage, bt when weight training this seems the stronger shoulder.
