    Highly inaccurate and exaggerated though.

It's american and on tv, which explains why.

I saw a clip talking about kneeing the 'nose bone' into the brain if someone is kneed in the face haha. There is no nose bone and of the thousands of times people get kneed to the face, nobody has died from a nose bone to brain!

haha american tv make me laff! but there is lots of truth behind it, the training is real every where they go, The habitants of the MA are not actors so thats good enought for me.
Plus you cant change or over exaggerate a Martial art thats has been around for thousands of years, All that is real,I can see what you mean though with the two guys tho. Bit OTT!

    Amen tho geez.

"I've always wondered about this as well. I've heard some people say that the septum is just cartilage, which isn't true; there are two bones in there."

The perpendicular plate of the ethmoid bone is kind of thin, and I think it might simply break before doing that kind of damage. The vomer is thicker, but it's not in a position conducive to being shoved into the brain. Plus, the quadangular cartilage is flexible, and that absorbs some of the force of the blow.

Yeah the "bones" they refer to aren't really what people consider the actual nose, plus they aren't the bits that get broken! It's the cartilage that breaks and goes into a funny funny sideways place lol.

Also not sure where they get their numbers/figures from as surely they are super exaggerated. Further to that, because they just have a look and decide how a move is, the guys producing the show come to these really dodgey figures. Like they worked out the power from a spinning rear kick came from the swinging as a ball and chain, and did the calculations based on that, when the spinning rear kick was obviously kicked like a horse (properly) and not swung around.
