Hi all,

As promised our first MMA pod cast (August) is available for you to listen live or download at your own leisure.

Its our first one so forgive our rusty start we will improve and get better with the softwear as we go along. We just wanted to say a big thank you to all our sponsors and everyone involed.

Just listening to it, hope ya dont mind a bit of constructive criticism, hope I dont sound like a dick though, just wanting to offer some advice and my opinions.

1. the intro music could be a bit more hardcore


CJ .. Do you rehearse ? if not, you should do bit by bit, and edit, because the constant "erms" are annoying and sound like a lack of preperation

who is Chris Wilks ? did ya mean James Wilks

Werdum fight is on main card

Just some opinions on what was said

its Cain Valasquez not vasaleuz

by the way, Bowles suspension is precautionairy, if doctors give him the clear he can fight earlier, he suffered a broken hand. Torres rematch is most likely , but Dom Cruz is a name rated

If Benevidez can get a few wins after his loss he will be a contender, Yayha will get a chance soon

What on earth were you on about regarding ex fighters talking before the main events, that would have been so stupid. A lot of the suggestions were cheesey,it's not a wwe show .. the fight card is solely for the fight card, and maybe a few confrontations, the entire 2 days before were all about sentiment ... also media conferences also help out.

I cant believe one of you said Fedor is the same as Kimbo, Kimbo was a quick attraction, he lost a lot of his fans, Fedor is a proper big name in MMA

Regarding Forrest and Silva discussion, doubt about his jaw, if you look early in the fight, after a few hits he looks like his jaw is hurting, so it would only need a small knock to put him down, I dont know when you recorded it, but on august 11th, some members of his camp denied broken jaw claims.

Although Nate is good, he's not going to be given Silva, especially as Silva has 3-4 fights left, they'll save him for big fights. He'll have to beat Maia before hand by the way. Then the winner has Henderson most likely, I'd expect Silva to stay at LHW for a while, he apparently wants Shogun Rua.

regarding interim belts, Couture was going to come back to the UFC, he was just unhappy regarding a few things such as image rights, if a fighter is injured you can understand him not defending, if there are other problems then ok, it doesnt cause confusion unless you're really slow. An interim title is to wait for the official belt match, its to know you're the best there at the moment, and if the official fighter doesnt return then interim can be turned to proper champ. There isnt any real harm, there is no point in stripping a fighter of the title unless he properly walks away from an organization. You said fighters arent happy about interim belts, I bet more would be unhappy if they got belts not by being number 1, but because someone got stripped of the belt.

Chuck V Forrest .. stupid suggestion, Forrest lost to the 1 p4p fighter, Chuck isnt on form at all,would only happen if they want to ruin Liddell

By the way, Silvas team doesnt think Henderson is ready for a rematch yet and want him to fight the winner

Tim Sylvia is a poor fighter, doesnt have a great lot to offer.


TIP. A lot of pro fighters are more than happy to answer a few questions , so perhaps you should ask some of the best UK fighters via their myspaces and add it to your features


Babalu v Mousasi, quite shocked dude chose Babalu as the favourite, also, Mousasi hasnt really had to drop weight for the fight as said or gain weight, simply because when he usually fights his weight is close to LHW

you need to do a competiton with prizes !!

Thanks for you response hope you enjoy the show.

Thanks for the feedback Jeevan we really do appreciate it. We know there are a few points we need to improve on for next time and have already made plans to correct things.

One thing you have to remember is we recorded this more as a conversation based radio show and so when we were recording for 2 hours there is bound to be a few mistakes like mispronunciations especially with my partner having a Leicester accent!! ho ho.

Its good that our opinions got you talking after all that’s the purpose of our show but please remember as with anything media based it is all opinion and these will differ from person to person.

I just wanted to clarify a couple of points so they are not taken out of context -

The ex fighters talking before the show was just a UFC 100 thing and we were just spit balling some ideas as here in the UK we didnt really get much of the centenary build up we just got the event so we though it would of been nice for something televised before the show.

As for Kimbo, Fedor - I know I’m crazy!!!! The point I was trying to make was that outside the UFC there is very little to test him and with signing for Strikeforce he is more like a Kimbo character i.e. a big stand alone name to sell fights its not the match ups that will sell as they would with the competition in the HW div in the UFC

Chuck v forest? - Hey man don’t tell me you wouldn’t like to see that! The reason I mentioned it was if there is one fight left for chuck it has to be big. And that fight has been talked about for a couple of years - so it would be good to get it on coming off the Silva loss. Again only opinion.

Don’t remember biging up Tim Sylvia - Hey now that would be crazy!!

Im pretty sure I did mention Mousasi would be holding more weight as he is fighting at 205?

Anyway just wanted to clarify a few points. Most of what you said are some valid opinions and im glad you mentioned them after all that’s the point of the show. We may not agree all the time dude but I hope you keep listening.

We will get the production tidied up next time like I said its the first one and there will be teething problems, we wanted to gauge how popular this would be as there would be no point going crazy for 2 downloads! We just hope you enjoy the content and keep up the banter!

Im glad you didnt take it in the wrong way, I was trying not to sound like a dick

I understand you made it like a general conversation, in my opinion, I think you guys would sound a lot better if you edited it a bit more

The ex fighters, if we had gotten a proper deal sorted then I think we would have seen some special shows, however, the more die hard MMA / UFC fans would have just used the internet to watch conferences and countdowns and expo events.

Forrest v Liddell would be pointless, because Liddell leaves his hands down and Forrest would most likely own him. Liddell needs to work his way back up if he wants a long term future, another loss would just be the nail on his coffin

I understand what you meant about Fedor / Kimbo attraction, just that Kimbo is a rookie and he lost fans, where as Fedor will build fans

I will definitley keep listening, I hope you guys get some nice giveaway prizes soon !!
