MMAUnltd.com caught up with Matt '12-Gauge' Thorpe in anticipation of his upcoming Knuckleup middleweight title bout against John Phillips on February 20th.

When asked whether Phillips' power has changed how he is training for the upcoming bout, he had this response.

"Well, my coaches have looked at a lot of footage of Phillips. I've fought bangers before though when I was at welterweight, so it doesn't worry me at all. I train with a lot of decent boxers, so I'm not worried about what he brings to the table."

"We've obviously got a decent gameplan developed for him, but my core training is still the same. It's just we've put little tweaks in the tactics."
