There's only one way to cool down in this heat...

ICE CREAM! Lots and lots of ice cream.

Just want to know everyone's thoughts on ice-cream whilst training. I tend to avoid all the crap when I'm training, but in this heat, it's hard to avoid a good ice cream once in a while.

How bad is it, -really-? Any healthier alternatives?

uh? ice cream is as good (and maybe better) in the winter time.

Haggen Dazs strawberries and cream... my record's two and a half pints in the same evening. It's honestly one of those few things I could eat nearly all day.
Then I found a healihies(??) and definitely cheaper option: Muller corner yoghurt, strawberry flavour (far from identical flavour, but it's sweet, it's fresh and I'm hoping to be less fat. lol)

    How bad is ice cream?

It's pretty much the WORST thing you could ever have.

Made with full fat cream, added fat and then tonnes of sugar and additives... it's a proper fail supplement.

You could just get healthy yogurts and freeze them...

get some fress strawberries, was them and get rid of the green bits. Put them in the freezer for 24 hours, take them out, put in blender with a banana or 2, a few bits of other fruit and a spoonful of protein powder, add a bit of natural yogurt or a splash of milk and blend a way. You get an ice cold thick drink thats also got 25 grams of protein in there.... ace on sunny days like today

No its not, theres diabetic ice cream as a choice, obvious choice for those who want to keep sugar down but still want to enjoy a treat.

Still tastes pretty damn nice as well.

As for my treat, its pretty much what BJ and Marquardt have for breakfast, milk or water, frozen fruit, protein powder, blender.

    Yesterday I added ice cubes.

Have you checked the ingredients to see the obscene amounts of artificial sweeteners and preservatives in diabetic ice cream? There was a country that banned a few brands because of health issues with them, but I can't remember which.

In fact a lot of the American brands are banned in the EU for some of them too.
