High protein low carbs!!!
Tuna? Good source of protein but also low in carbs.

I would say the best thing would be casein powder (obviously in water or milk pending on your daily calorie count), but given life is not ideal then if watching weight I go for chicken and veg with some salsa sauce (as it gets a bit boring) if not watching your weight throw some carbs in as well...but yeah focus on protein - remember your muscles are typically gonna get starved for about 8 hours if you do not have a quality meal :thumb ...this is also why it's important to have a good brekkie as well.
Tuna and cornflakes lol, I have a shake mate...

LMFAO do you put milk on the cornflakes with tuna
Yeah, a shake was the short answer.
A lad came into the shop about 3 weeks ago saying he had been told by his "big mate" to put milk and tuna in blender and knock that back - I raised an eyebrow and said "how did that work out"...he replied "what's a good protein powder" (we laughed)...the though of it yak.....still can't figure out if his mate was taking the piss or hardcore enough that he actually done it himself?!...after all he was "big mate".
Depends what youve done before bed.
If youve just trained, go home and then go to bed, then have some food, mainly a white protein for quick absorbtion so chicken breast with veg or some egg white and veg.
If youve been physically inactive for the past say 2-3 hours, as in, nothing strenuous, then youre best having a slow release protein, minimal carbs and fat.
So either a micellar caseine shake, or an isolate or concetrate whey protein shake with milk (milk slows down the absorbtion rate).
This is because you wont be eating for the next say 6-7 hours (because youre sleeping) and a slow release protein will almost be a drip, but of protein to allow recovery and growth (which is what your body does when you sleep).
PHD Pharma Blend is what i have before bed somtimes
lol.
I can't believe nobody mentioned fat free cottage cheese.
But yeah- Cottage Cheese and Casein protein, that's pretty much common knowledge with those who train/take their nutrition serious seriously too!
Cottage cheese is a good slow release protein but I personally find it makes me bloated and retain water like heck.
Not sure what it is, Im not lactose intolerant, Im not allergic to dairy but theres just something about it.
OP - give it a try.
