Great Book for Training and Nutrition!!!!
Hi everyone,
I just bought a book of training info including diet advice:
Training for Warriors: The Ultimate Mixed Martial Arts Workout: Amazon.co.uk: Martin Rooney: Books
training section is comprehensive and great my only gripe is that the author Martin Rooney obviously doesn't share my love of Kettlebells. None the less its great with loads of mma specific tips and info.
The most useful part for me however is the section on nutrition. He explains supplements and is not averse to their use, however gives detailed diet plans and where possible explains to get what you need from food. He gives three exact diet plans a 2000kcal one for weight loss, a 3000kcal suitable for maintenance for the average athlete, and a 4000kcal diet for lean mass gains. Not vaugue like a lot of books but advises 5 meals per day and gives 5 different choices explained in detail for each. I have never been able to make total sense of all the info you get on nutrition etc and this is just step by step.
If you only by one book this year I'd reccomend this one!!!
cheers
Dan
