Ultimate fighter 8 finale
-
Forum seems quiet today, thought everyone would be talking about this. Are you all on some other site discussing the X-factor?
Very good event,
Cant believe Junie Browning was invited back to the UFC, apart from being a cock he looked awful to me on the show, constantly being caught in submissions in training and blaming it on everything he could think of but himself. He showed a very lacklustre game altogether.
I was very suprised with him last night though, actually looking like a decent fighter.
Ryan Bader,
Had him down as a lay-n-prayer after his fight with Elliot Marshal, suprised me with a really good Knockout.
Anthony Johnson,
Well done, managed to avenge his loss after the worlds worst reffing decision last time. Good finish as well.
Efrain and Phillipe was an awesome fight, they should both have a good future in the UFC.

I like Junie Browning's style of fighting. He's a bit like me (but I'm less of a cock). You can tell he's really toned it down though, him and Dave Kaplan looked best of buddies and he was full of respect. He's a good fighter.
-
Dave Kaplan clearly hasnt learned alot since the TUF experience... Still thinks he is the smartest man alive and owns a body made of indistructible granite enabling him to walk his oponents to smithereens....
Junie looked way better since then.
Nover seemed like he had many more tools in terms of offense than Effrain, just absolutely no defensive wrestling / takedown defense. Did the same mistake over and over was realy frustrating watching it!
Couldnve possibly kept range with an effective jab wearing down Effrain rather than pouncing in for the right hook kill everytime?
He has better stand up so why not set things up and use footwork? Killed me.
Badder did a great job not falling into guard, well done. If he keeps sharpening his striking he will be quite something as he obviously has retarded strength.
And nice KO revenge for Johnson.

as much as everyone hates Junie you have to be impressed with him. Obviously he has seen what a knobend he was on the show, taken himself to Xtreme with the worlds best which to me shows he is committed. Also some of the stuff he pulled off, to be fair i think Kaplan is a way behind junie in talent but the elbows he was throwing, he was using twister side control and that pass of the guard where he pushed himself up pushed himself off the fence to side control, that was briliant.

Finally got around to watching the final.
Junie was very good. Entertaining . Great foot work. He had bang in his punches, something he didnt have much of in the series.
Loved Johnsons KO. Perfect shot with his shin making contact.
Bader.. well, it was a Ko. Not a lot more to be said.
Efrain v Nova was a good fight. Efrain was the rightfull winner. Come the third round though , i was thinking that all he was doing was taking Nova down . Thats all. Nova was making the same mistake all the way through the fight.Jab , right cross resulting in being taken down. I think his coach let him down by not telling him to push Efrain back with jabs or let Efrain chase him.
Efrain v nova was entertaing though.
Now Nog just needs to finish the job. I think he will submit Mir as well. That will be the kiss of death . Sorry Nog.

Was a good night overall, Johnson really impressed me.
I was disapointed in Nover as he seemed like a real prospect.
Ryan Bader did well, And hopefully Junie can layoff the booze and keep focus as he has talent.
-
Watched this last night, I knew the outcome of the Bader fight as I had seen the picture of him holding the trophy on facebook! doh!
Impressed with Junie, but then I always knew he would come good. For some reason I really like the fighters everyone else hates
And that head kick...
KAPOW!
Made me want to get in the ring

Very impressed with Junie & Johnson - that KO was fantastic
Kaplan looked terrible, his standup was some of the worst ive seen in the ufc
-
Yes, his leg kicks were a sight to behold!
'Er, i just throw it there...oh, missed, nevermind. Dumdeedum, er there lets just throw another hoof to the air, liiiiike soooo.....oh, missed again. No matter!'.
