Thread: Mask from Tapout killed in car crash

Charles Lewis, Jr. a.k.a Mask, a member of the ubiquitous Tapout crew, was killed early this morning in a traffic accident in Newport Beach, Calif. The driver of the other car was reportedly taken into custody, and Lewis was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lewis, pictured in the center above, founded Tapout 12 years ago, and has grown it into a multimillion dollar business with a large stable of fighters under sponsorship. He also led the reality show that followed Mask and his crew around the country, looking for up-and-coming fighters. According to Tapout's Web site:

As much as four ounce gloves and the cage, the Tapout crew are a part of the MMA experience. They pride themselves in making it to every MMA event that they can. Come WEC 40, the next U.S. major event, Mask will be missed dearly.

What is it with Ferrari and their uncanny ability to make cars that break in two when they have crashes at high speed?

Definitely tragic. But at least it sounds like he knew how to have a good time!

The Tapout crew have been pushing MMA for a long, long time. Sucks.

Well, i was going out to get me a Farrari today. Dont think i will now. Ill just carry on using me 10 yr old Nissan Micra. Its got a betty boo sticker in the back window and its yellow. How cool is that.
