Kettlebell exercises
Hey guys, happy new year. hope you are all good and had a great xmas
I've just brought 20kg a kettlebell and new to training with them. My question to current users of these tremendous devices is...
Apart from the obvious and famous kettlebell swing...what other exercises with a kettlebell are good for increasing strengh.
So far I've been doing:
Swings (1 &2 handed) Squats, Deadlifts, Figure of 8's, Cleans and Clean + Press
thankyouplease

The best one i find in my cleints for awesome power is i replace the squats with thrusters search them on google for correct posture and technique.By far and away the best kettlebell power excercise if done correctly.

I looked it up. basically a squat followed by a military press.
going to use it for tabata at the end of my work out.

yes mate but for explosive power start your press from the squat position so you feel like your jumping dont do it in 2 parts a lot of people dont get the full benefits from this they wait till they have completed there squat before they press this is incorrect.

Try this complex.
Start with 5 x presses then go straight to
Squat to push press x 5 and then
Clean+ Squat to push press x 5 to
Squat thrust+clean+squat to push press x 5 to
Press up+Squat thrust+clean+squat to push press to
Renegade row on each side+Press up+Squat thrust+clean+squat to push press (squat to press all one movement.
You have a full body workout in a oner.
Start with rest between each of the exercises and eventually link them all together for one big complex lift. For as many sets as you feel like. It's pretty tough work, good finisher to a session aswell.

Hey guys i just receieved my 16kg kettlebell today can't wait to get started with it but bit heavy for me at the monment so think be best if i worked on the basics like the swing, TGU, clean and press to start with and take my time until i can do some more moves with it.
Here is a an article about MMA about their use for conditioning and strength from Mike Mahler: Mahler's Aggressive Strength Kettlebell Training

thats definately best way to go, it doesnt take long to work up once you have the techniques right, it may be worth finding a decent instructor who can show you correct way to hold, clean and swing a K Bell...........i have seen a few people that have learnt from video and TBh their technique is all over the place..........once its all put in to place your lifts and strength will grow quickly
