All the gear; a kettlebell I revere.

For ages, I've been after a proper kettlebell just to switch up my training routine a bit. We all know how boring it can get. With the weather being nice and all, I wouldn't mind spending time in the garden doing some kettlebell training.

Is it just me or are these fuckers hard as hell to find? I don't mean the rubber-coated kettlebells; I mean the traditional, full iron-cast ones.

If anyone could point me in the right direction/give me any advice on purchases, I would be forever in your debt (but not really).

    Hugs and kisses,

    xoxoxoxo

wolverson-fitness ...all the kettlebells are top notch (expensive but will outlast us all (as long as you don't leave em in the rain/sea/water)).

I have two 24kg competition ones with the flat bottoms so I can do man makers/bastards/pushup'/renegades etc etc- they are made of steel so invincible...great fun on a cold morning I can do a strength and or a cardio workout in the livingroom without having to move furniture or piss about with plates etc and the 5 min rounds with swings, bastards, round the worlds, push press and abs is fun and a killer - very sport specific...trust me stay away from Jordan and all the other cheap makes they do not clear your wrist and will fook your arm up...P.S cheapbids have delivered broken ones to peoples homes with no exchange or refund - I spent days looking for "cheap" options before biting the bullet - was well worth it in the end tho.

I get mine from newitts.com. They're made by xlr8 who do a lot of kit for rugby league clubs amongst others. Not the best style wise but good price and lots of weights to chose from

Jordan an Xlr8? are the ones that get slated by all the people who are doing lots of KB work - I also had some 16kg stan pike KB's and they where shite - I gave em to Marc...they arrived stuck to the box as he had plonked em in when wet after a bad paint job they also rusted up very quickly!. Below is a review, I personally found very helpful and mimiced what others had been saying on other sites - this put em all on the same thread :thumb

    Fucksake guys.

Perhaps I should drop out of university. Maybe I can save some money and actually buy a kettlebell. =|

I'm undecided what weight to get. I know 16kg is the kettlebell standard, but I think I might be tempted to get something lighter (just so my form doesn't get affected when I'm training with them).

    What does everyone else use?

Don't get a light one, you'll improve technique pretty quick and be annoyed that you didn't at least get a 20k.

or buy a cheap one you can handle now and a better one for once you have technique nailed..............its very difficult to get form right with a bell thats too heavy, but you can move up the weights quick...........maybe even worth finding an instructor or a gym where you can work technique then know exactly what weight bell to start with
